Experts: Your STORY, Not More Posts, Will Fill Your Calendar—Here’s Proof
Last Wednesday I stepped on a virtual stage for exactly 35 minutes.
When I got to my last slide, 28 people (!!!) rushed to sign up for a market-research call—so many that my software glitched under the load.
No fancy sales funnel.
No crazy slides.
Just one clear, emotionally-charged story about the problem they wake up with every day: pouring hours into content that never converts.
But here’s the plot twist most people miss.
For months my co-founder Benoît and I wrestled with WordLoom—our tool that helps coaches and creators make 30 pieces of content (emails, social posts, blogs, etc.) in 3 hours or less every month. Benoit logged 253 hours of coding. We scrapped feature after feature, said no to DOZENS of options and narrowed a universe of possibilities down to one three-step flow:
Interview the expert with AI.
Draft the article.
Repurpose it into dozens of bite-size assets.
All so coaches and experts could win in the content game without sacrificing their life to social media.
The tech mattered, and the time spent building it in the dark enabled our success—but it wasn’t what made that room erupt.
What did? Ruthless focus on the story—and the WHY—behind the tool.
When I was put on stage, I wasn’t pitching software. I was sharing the reason I’m building WordLoom: to prepare a better world for my two daughters. If I can help experts share their expertise AND give them back their time, I KNOW the world will be in a better place for my kids.
Add on top of that that my coach, Patrick Diamond, helped me hone my closing message and invitation.
(Honestly, his help hurt my brain the most, SUCH a new way of speaking and communicating for me… and it worked!)
I was unstoppable on that virtual stage.
We started with 30 people in the room.
By the end there was 91.
And the majority of them were engaged in the chat or sending emojis.
Here’s one comment from the crowd that’s stuck with me:
I spent all that time for 6 likes?!
I was doing what I loved: sharing stories.
Interacting with the audience.
As Ed Mylett says, I was “sharing ‘me’ stories with a ‘you’ meaning” for the audience:
• The pain: experts drowning in "post more" advice and still feel invisible.
• The conflict: my slog through posting every day for 9 months straight and landing one client… who refunded 2 weeks later
• The resolution: a repeatable system that turns one deep idea into a month of polished posts AND booked calls—without stealing family time.
I learned, once again, that your audience doesn’t buy features, they buy the FEELING you bring them. The FEELING that their story gets better starting today.
This is what we start with WHY.
When I finally showed my slide with the invitation on it I drove that powerful emotion home with this offer:
1. Get my 6 Figure Prompt Library
2. Access my Authentic AI Voice System Playbook to get AI to sound like you (and make content 10X faster)
3. I’ll work with you to make 10 pieces of content.
All I want is to interview you.
28 people booked a call in 120 seconds. It broke my software!
And that’s the same offer I’ll make to you, right here, right now (please don’t break my software).
If you’re the kind of person who believes that you’re on a mission that could change lives.
That what you’re doing could prepare the world for our children.
And you believe that putting more content out is important.
Then we would like to talk with you.

Let’s stop posting into the void and start turning your expertise and GREATNESS into impact (and income).
Your friend,
Sterling Long
P.S. I said something at the end of my talk that I loved (it did not come from me, God filled my mouth): “I am grateful for the beacons of light that you are each creating and how it prepares the world for our kids.” You are a beacon of light. A BASTION for greatness! Benoit and I are INTENSELY grateful to you for all that you do to prepare the world for our kids. We hope to support you in your mission with high quality, easily created content. =)
