How to Build (and Sell) the Software of Your Dreams
Without writing a single line of code!
I was 9 years old, sitting next to my dad looking at my computer screen.
We were working on my science fair project, but let’s be fair: my dad was doing most (all) of the work. That didn’t mean I was any less enthralled. My dad was working some voodoo magic to get a button on my screen to animate when clicked.
Then finally, he got it.
I still remember seeing the button come alive with a flash and some lightning bolts!
I was hooked. From that moment on, the only thing I wanted was to learn to program and build games.
By 11 I was teaching myself to build iPhone apps.
At the age of 14 my progress accelerated when I found a mentor at my high school: Mr. Rigg. He taught me the foundational principles of programming. With that foundation I was able to build multiple games over the course of high school.
At age 15 I began working with an international team of software developers building a game called Temple Siege 2.
Blessedly, school was easy enough that I could finish my homework in class.
This gave me all the time I needed to come home and immediately start building my games. Those games taught me pretty much everything I know about programming, and opened up every door I needed.
One game I built landed me my first programming job in college working for a professor (and let me skip a class I really didn’t want to take).
A library I created for fun led to a $30K+ project that I was able to fulfill in just 2 hours per day (thanks to the power of AI)!
Lastly, all of the skills I developed working on my games enabled me and my brother to build an application (without writing almost any code!) that saved tens of thousands of hours and generated millions in revenue for the companies we worked for.
By pursuing my dream of building games and other software I’m passionate about, I have been able to both play and feed my family.
Today, I’m still building and playing games!
And they are still opening doors for me.
So I’d like to introduce another game I’m going to play over the next 90 days. One that I hope will become a multiplayer game, with you in my party! One that I know will teach you, an aspiring developer, how to build and sell the software of your dreams, just like I did!
My 90 Day Game
My 90 day game has one objective: to show you, an aspiring developer, how to build and sell the software of your dreams without:
Doing a day of work (all play!)
Writing a single line of code (yes you read that right)
So that the doors will begin to open in your life too!
To accomplish my objective, here are my rules:
With the arrival of AI and recent advances in NoCode software, it’s more than possible now to become a developer without knowing how to code.
Now while you don’t have to know how to code, there are skills you DO need to know to be effective and to ultimately sell your software.
These next 90 days I hope to:
shatter your limiting beliefs,
teach you the foundational skills you need to be an effective developer (no code involved)
show you how to build your dream software, and
finally sell that software (there are 3 ways to do this, you won’t want to miss it)!
Why?
Because if you’re an aspiring developer, then you have a dream, and there has never been a more hopeful and joyous time to achieve it!
I want you to feel the passion and the joy that I feel when I build my games, but without the massive learning curve I had to go through!
If you have a dream you’ve wanted to bring to life, but haven’t felt that you had the skills to make it happen, now is your time!
If you’ve given up on the dream, now is the time to reignite it!
If you want to have fun, build your dream, and still pay all of the bills (and then some), now is the time.
Could there ever be a larger reason to do it now?
If you aren’t subscribed to me on Youtube or following me on LinkedIn and you’re an aspiring developer, then smash those buttons and subscribe.
Join the party and build the dream!
You’ll never regret chasing the dream and becoming the hero of your own game.
I promise!
Sterling Long!
P.S. If you’re super serious about joining my party, then I would like to talk with you and ask you some questions about what you’d like to learn about building software, where you’ve gotten stuck. The struggles, frustrations, and fears you have surrounding it. Please schedule a time to meet with me or reply to this email!
